About Lapiak Design
Joachim established his studio in 2007 at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. As an independent type foundry, his goal for Lapiak Design is to provide distinctive, original typefaces at high quality to serve various communication purposes.
Joachim holds a degree from the University of Alberta's Bachelor of Design Program in Visual Communications with distinction. He is also a member of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada. Joachim is an admirer of Dutch type and some of his favourite type designers include Adrian Frutiger, Michael Abbink, and Tobias Frere-Jones.
